Purpose and Goals of TO CoP
UCSB supports high-quality, student-centered instruction across modalities. Teaching online often presents unique challenges and opportunities. The Office of Teaching and Learning has created a community of practice to connect instructors teaching online courses with resources and peer support. The goals of this group are:
-
To facilitate peer-to-peer support and discussion of best practices.
-
To enable focused communications from university stakeholders.
-
To provide relevant professional development and resources.
Facilitators
Dana Shreaves, Instructional Designer, Office of Teaching and Learning
Mindy Colin, Associate Director of Digital Pedagogy, Office of Teaching and Learning
Elena Raymond, Teaching Professor, Director of Undergraduate Studies, Department of Sociology
