OTL’s Teaching Effectiveness Guidance was developed in collaboration with hundreds of UCSB faculty of all ranks and in consultation with the joint administrative-Senate Teaching Evaluation Workgroup.

UC Academic Personnel Policies and Resources

All UCSB academic personnel policy is guided by University of California Academic Personnel Policy processes as outlined in the Academic Personnel Manual (or APM) and the UCSB Personnel Manual, also known as the “Red Binder.” Teaching is addressed, especially, in APM 210 and Red Binder sections I and II.
