Annual UC Online Funding
The UC Online Funding is focused on systemwide collaborations revolving around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, though the specific theme changes each year. UC Online grants are usually announced in Fall or Winter. The funding originates from the State Legislature and is distributed by the UC Office of the President to the individual campuses based on grant applications from individuals and campuses.
The collaborations can be for online courses, educational technology projects, teaching professional development, research on DEI in online teaching and learning, and infrastructure. Successful projects include principal investigators and participants from multiple UC campuses, but can also include other institutions. All grant applications must be reviewed by the UCSB Office of Teaching and Learning prior to submission (send to Mindy Colin at mcolin@ucsb.edu or Linda Adler-Kassner at ladler@ucsb.edu).
